4cupsOil, neutralGrape seed works well; alternatively half extra virgin olive oil and half neutral flavored oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250 F / 120 C
Peel garlic and place in oven safe pan or dish
Submerge garlic completely in oil, place lid on pan/dish
Cook for 2 hours
Let cool to room temperature (it is ready to use immediately)
Transfer to air tight container to store
Keep in refrigerator

This is a neutral flavored recipe for multi-use. Consider also seasoning with salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaf and/or dry chiles.Make sure to use the cloves AND the delicious infused oil. Can also be made on the stovetop in a covered saucepan. Cook on low for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until garlic is very tender and golden.
