Flying with Your Pet Video Tutorial
How to video gives tips and everything you need to know to travel with your dog, cat or pet on an airplane.
As you can see from pictures of my own dog, Cambridge, she has travelled around the world in airplanes, trains, cars, metro/tube/subway, boats … just about every way. She enjoys flying in cabin. Your pet can too, with good preparation.
Creating a “Den” for your Pet Carrier
If your dog or cat is comfortable in its pet carrier, the trip can be a pleasure for your pet.
Make sure to get an airline approved pet carrier.
Introduce your pet to it with positive reinforcement – treats, toys, fun little trips with you. And make the pet carrier a regular, comfortable place for your dog or cat to make their own.
Then, when traveling in the airplane, the pet will feel cozy and much more relaxed and safe. Keep your feet near the carrier, so they also know you are there with them and all is okay.
Make sure to check in your pet carrier with the agent at the airport to get an official check-in approval for your pet.
